Day 7: Dear Chantel....

This post was difficult for me to write because no one likes to look inside and write a letter to yourself, however, here I go....

Dear 30 year old Chantel

It has only been 8 years but if feels like a life time. Writing this letter to you is not easy but I hope you will read and learn from it.

Follow your dreams of writing. Finish the book that lays on your heart and keeps you up at night. Don't let fear, security and people stop you from achieving this goal.

Help others...you are good at it. People love the fact that you listen to them, you hear them and treat each one with love, respect and confidentiality.

Your personality does bring joy to others. Believe it! Family, friends and even strangers like having you around them because of the way you make them feel. Don't let others words and judgements change the way you look at yourself in the mirror. You might not matter to everyone but you do matter!

Put yourself out there....allow a person to see your strengths and weaknesses. Take the risks and opportunities put in front of you. They might not all work out but at least try. Learn something new, read something old but enjoy every minute of the risks you take.

Allow yourself to feel more, see more and experience more. Don't hide behind closed doors all the time. Your books and writing will still be there when you return. If you don't feel more and live more, you won't have more stories to share with others.

Don't stop following God. Your prayers are heard even when you don't think they are. He does love and value you more than you realise and will ever more. You shed and unshed tears count to him.

Lastly, be you and no one else. Only God to shape you into His shape for you. Don't allow others to change you, shape you or hurt you. Life is too short to waste!

With love and blessings,
Chantel

PS.  YOU. ARE. ENOUGH
